Frequently Asked Questions

How long are the assignments?
This can vary with the agency and the healthcare employer. A typical assignment might last as little as 8 weeks or as long as 26 weeks. The assignment can be renewed sometimes and stretch out longer but this would only happen if both parties agreed. 13 weeks is the normal term for a travel therapist job but sometimes an agency can customize the assignment length to the traveling therapists particular need.

Who will I get my pay and benefits from?
Your actual employer is the travel therapist agency that you sign up with. They are also the one's who would provide you benefits. Because of that, you may (likely) have a better benefits package then the regular employees of the facility you are working in.

Is Travel Theraspist USA an agency?
Nope. We are simply a resource for you, the prospective travel therapist candidate, to get information. We can also facilitate matching you up with an agency that can meet your needs.

Rather then going from agency to agency looking for a perfect fit you can fill out the "request information" at the top left hand column and we will match it up with several traveling therapist agencies for you to select from.

And in case you wonder, it is all FREE to you. The agencies and facilities that hire you cover all of the costs.

Questions on travel nursing
Q:
I want to go to a particular location but don't have a license in that state.

A:
If you want to work in a state where you aren’t licensed, the agency will take you down the correct path one step at a time. Commonly they will even pay for the licensing once you actually complete the assignment.
